E-Procurement Catalogue Management, PECOS and Scotland.

E-Procurement or electronic procurement is a method of allowing business-to-business, business-to-consumer or business-to-government organisations to purchase and sell services electronically.

Scotland has become the first country in the world whose government has taken steps to put in place an agreement that all organisations which are government-funded must use E Procurement as their buying method. A framework agreement is already in place.

This means that organisations which trade with, for example, local authorities and health boards will require a tool with which to prepare their catalogues of products in electronic format.

Netmedia has prepared a tool for use with the Pecos E Procurement system.
