BUE Marine

Formed in 1991, BUE Marine is a ship owner and marine service group providing support to the offshore oil and gas industries. In 1993, the company opened its first overseas office in the Caspian Sea Region, located in Baku Azerbaijan. The company has now developed its business throughout the region and is today considered to be the leading international marine service provider in the Caspian Sea.

BUE Marine has offices in Edinburgh, London, Baku, Ashkabad, Atyrau, Aktau, Bautino and Larnaca. It operates over 50 vessels and employs over 1000 personnel. Within its client base it numbers all of the leading international oil and gas companies

The Project Background

In recent years Bue Marine has undergone a tremendous period of growth to become a truly international player in the oil and gas industry with customers and staff located in offices around the world. The company’s website did not detail the breadth and depth of the company’s growing capabilities or reflect the true image of BUE as a global player in its market.

Operating around the world BUE also needed to give their staff the ability to contribute to the content of their website with pertinent local information. Similarly, they also required a bi-lingual site as a number of the intended target users would be from Russian companies.

Netmedia’s Solution

NetMedia has provided BUE Marine with a custom designed website that now reflects their status in the oil and gas industry. The site also incorporates content management technology which allows BUE to continue to keep their company information up to date and truly representative.

Bue Marine have complete control of the content of their own website. They can now create an unlimited number of new pages at will, take sections of the website on and off line, and by providing private, password protected administration areas, staff in offices around the world are able to provide local content.

The website also incorporates a searchable database of the company’s fleet of ships. Their customers, whether English or Russian Speaking, are able to search for a particular vessel type and model, view results on screen, and print details of any ships that match their requirements. No postage and no long distance faxing, BUE’s customers around the world can now have the information they need on their desk in minutes using the website.
